To help minimise the impact on our natural surroundings we adopt the following practices to be as environmentally friendly as possible:

Conserving energy and water
We use energy efficient light bulbs throughout, take showers more often than baths, turn lights and electrical appliances off when not required and collect rainwater which can be used for watering the garden.
Organic gardening and using home grown produce when available
We are reducing food miles by growing some of our own fruits and vegetables, also no harmful pesticides are used. Along with eating the free range eggs from our chickens these are just some of the ways of achieving our objectives.
Waste management trying to 'eliminate, reduce, reuse, recycle'
Many everyday consumables are now available from recycled sources and can then in turn be recycled. We recycle as much waste packaging as possible.
Minimise the use of cars and transport emissions by using alternatives
Greener transport includes cycling, walking and public transport. We can help you plan your days out using these methods to explore the natural beauty of the area.
Encouraging natural wildlife habitats in the surrounding gardens
At Three Bridges we put out food for wild birds and we also provide water, shelter and nesting places for them. We leave some garden areas natural to encourage wildlife.
Leave no Trace
When enjoying any outdoor activity we ensure we follow the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and make sure we leave no trace of us being there.
We have solar panels
They help us generate some of our own electricity and heat our water.
