Commission events and Highland Homecoming celebrations.
2010 Events
* 25th January - Burns Night, celebrating Robert Burns the famous poet
* 20th February - Snowman Rally, Scottish Car Rally Championship, Inverness
* 1st and 2nd May - Maggie's Monster Bike and Hike event for cancer care
* 15th May - Mountain Bike Marathon, 10 under the Ben, Ben Nevis area
* 5th -6th June - UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, Fort William
* 11th -13th June - Rock Ness Music Festival, Dores
* 3rd July - Corrieyairack Challenge, fitness event starting from Fort Augustus
* Various Highland Games events are held at local villages throughout the summer including: at Abriachan, Lochaber 31st July, Glengarry 30th-31st July, Inverness Highland Games 24th July, Glen Urquhart 28th August.
* 26th-31st July - Inverness Highland Tattoo, military displays, Highland pipe music and dancing
* 3rd October - Baxters Loch Ness Marathon
* 9th - 10th October - Relentless 24, a 24 hour mountain bike marathon, Nevis range and Lochaber complex
* 30th November - St Andrews Day
* 31st December - New Year's Eve Hogmanay
